I forgot!

I forgot to mention something big that happened between the last time I posted and now. I had a baby! Ha! I got pregnant not too long after I lost weight when I was posting. We found out the first of August and had her in April of this year. So that is pretty big news and important to my weight loss journey. She's now almost 7 months old and our little boy is three. I stay pretty busy just with them!

My goal is to post my journals daily. I enjoy when people post pics of their food so maybe I'll do that too. I'm pretty boring though and eat the same things over and over again. It is easy that way and so far I don't mind it.....so far.

I have had 35 out of 41 points today so I have some "snacking" to do. Yay for my child's Halloween stash! Ha.....just kidding,,,,I bought my own bag of 2 point kit kats for nightly snacks.

Today was my official weigh in day and I was down 2 lbs. Very exciting since I had been up all week during my peeks. I hope to reach the 250's (31 lbs min.) before Thanksgiving. My original goal was sometime in December but it is going faster than I thought for now.

I'm back!

I stumbled across this blog when I decided to start trying Twitter again. It was sad/funny to come back and read it and see my weight loss at the time.

I love reading other blogs so maybe I'll enjoy writing again and sharing my days of journaling, thoughts, etc.

I'll leave the old weigh ins up b/c they're interesting to me and they go with old posts.

I'm on Weight Watchers now. I'm not going to meetings....just doing it on my own with the new points plus plan. I weigh in on Mondays,,,,though I struggle with weighing in during the week. I started August 1st on a crazy low carb diet,,,,lots of tuna and broccoli and I actually walked a lot. I lost 17 lbs in two weeks....cool but crazy. I actually kept 11.5 lbs off and on October 3rd I started WW again. Since then I've lost 16 lbs as of today. Woohoo! My goal is to lose 3.5 more before Thanksgiving to put me at a certain weight. Right now I get 41 points...down from 43.

Another good day. Still debating on switching to WW or not. I'm kind of thinking about doing what I'm doing for now and then dropping down after I reach the point where I'd actually be eating 28 points on WW. Does that make sense? I hate to start eating 3-4 more points a day now to be "on WW."

I had a victory today,,,,kind of. My husband, mother in law and I talked about getting a DQ pecan pie blizzard,,,yum. But luckily (kind of) we got involved in changing out his bandages after Brady went to bed and we forgot all about it. So I had the last three items listed on my journal instead. Yay!

I'm feeling really good about not weighing BUT I'm afraid I'm not losing,,,ha. I have to stop thinking about that. I am on day 28 of my cycle today and should be starting soon (sorry if TMI but it is a fact) so Monday seems like a bad time for my first weigh in. That will be one more reason to help me wait another week OR MORE to weigh in. I don't want to be obsessed with the scale. I want to do my plan and eat right and just be surprised (hopefully) when I finally weigh in. Of course I'm saying that now,,,,who knows when I'll actually be BEGGING my husband to tell me where the scale is so I can weigh,,,haha. I do wonder how I'm doing eating 1500 calories though when I was eating 500 with the hcg diet. That kind of makes me want to sneak a peak...........ugh.

Ok,,,,heading to bed but I'll try to keep posting my journal so I won't have so much to catch up on.

I had another good day even though I stayed at home with Ray so I was off schedule. I didn't feel the need to munch munch munch which is good! I'm still feeling really good about not weighing. I hope I'm losing though,,,ha. Surely I am!

I've been wondering if I should switch over to counting points officially. After tracking my calories and points all week, I'm wondering if it would be better just so I'd have a "step down" to go by with points. Are you supposed to adjust your calorie intake as you lose or do you just keep eating 1500 calories? Does that make sense? With WW you're eating lower and lower as you lose. So far I've been 3-5 points under what WW recommends every day. And...if I start doing points now would I have trouble losing since I've been eating less? Any opinions?

Watermelon,,a trigger food?

I bought watermelon last night and I was all excited that it is only 8 calories per oz. I cut it all up and weighed out 6 ozs because I only had a few calories left. I ate it and it was so yummy. Then when I went to put it up I just kept eating it.....of course it is just watermelon so at least it isn't chocolate but it is still calories,,,calories over my goal. I just told myself that at least I wasn't over points if I was doing WW,,,haha.

It seems silly to feel guilty about eating extra watermelon though,,,haha.

I bought frozen dinners and I'm excited about the variety I bought. Funny to be so excited about lean cuisines!

Today went VERY well considering that my husband had surgery today so we were at the hospital for part of the day. Thanks to Cindy I had planned on taking Subway down so I followed through with that. I got the whole footlong because it makes more sense money wise to me plus I was thinking it might be better to have more to eat than be tempted to eat. I also picked up the baked chips just in case I needed a snack later. My uncle came to the hospital and after Ray went back for surgery we went down to the cafeteria to eat. The cool thing was that the food on the line all had nutritional info cards in front of it. I was so impressed and wished the whole world was like that,,,ha. My uncle was able to pick based on the nutr. info and was excited to know exactly how to count it. I ate my Subway which was great. Then my mother in law brought Chick-fil-a down and that is always pretty easy to eat. I had to weigh my options and decide if I wanted more food or fried chicken there,,,,I decided on more food. But I was a little disappointed at the size of their salad. I remembered it being bigger for some reason. It was good though. I'm proud of myself for not using the hospital as an excuse.

I still haven't weighed since I don't know where the scale is,,haha. But I am enjoying it. I was actually just thinking that maybe I shouldn't weigh Monday either,,,,we'll see though. I don't want to be disappointed. I know this isn't a fast way to lose but it should be steady....like it has been before.
